Virtual Show and Tell for July
1. Kathi Runyan - “Fearless Leader”
2. Annual Guild Quilt Retreat - Retreat is over and a great time sewing for those involved was the theme of the getaway! Although we were fewer in numbers than in previous years, we were just as productive and energetic as ever. I'm sharing a few shots of ladies and their workstations and our group shot! We did reserve next year's date for retreat on April 8-11, 2021. This will start the Thursday after Easter weekend, so hopefully holiday gatherings will be behind everyone. Mark this date on your calendar and get ready for a fun time in Sunset at our annual retreat gathering!

15: Colleen Connor: “I’m giving this quilt to a friend. I’m calling it “A Star is Born”. She is due in October. I painted the stars with a permanent glitter paint so they sparkle.
16a. Mona Levingston: “I have been piecing a lot and here are a couple of tops. I have piles of blocks, always looking for something new to piece. #2a is called “Endless Chain” an old pattern that took templates to assemble. I decided to make a paper pieced pattern and made a throw size quilt. It is so cool looking in person. #2b is for our grandbaby who was due in August, but they took her on 7/11. She is still in the hospital until she can take a bottle on her own. I am doing quite a few quilt-alongs, so just need to get sewing.”
16b. Mona Levingston: “I have been piecing a lot and here are a couple of tops. 17: Fabriholic Bee: “We tried having a Zoom Bee Meeting and really enjoyed it! Try it, you might like it. “
18: Kyle Mills: “I just finished this throw as a high school graduation present for my friend, Katie. This is a picture of Katie with her new quilt. She’s going to take it to college for her dorm room. It was an easy project: a center panel and I added the three borders. I custom quilted it on my Juki sit down long arm.”
19: Linn Jencopale: “My view every night from our cabin in Cuchara, Colorado. I have made a lot of masks and am teaching my granddaughters how to sew when they are visiting.”
20b: Mary Hiatt: “I just finished my first attempt at Freddy Moran style quilting. This was made for my bonus daughter’s birthday in August.”

21: Lynn Conklin: “This is a kit that Joan Houle gave me. I’m almost finished!”
22: Sheri Jones: “This was a Father’s Day gift for my husband. It’s entitled Roger’s I Spy. But if you want a more mature title, it could be The Many Lives of Roger. After making several I Spy quilts over the years I realized how many of the novelty fabrics applied to him...places he’d lived and worked, hobbies, things he liked, etc. Since he’s a ham radio nut, the border even includes his call sign.” (If anyone is making an I Spy, feel free to come and “shop” in my I Spy box!)
